Taco Salad Jar

We’ll be real with you. This looks damn cute on Pinterest, but if you want to eat your food (& not just photograph it), the jar doesn’t work out so well. ? We suggest you wrangle up your ingredients and then put it in a BOWL instead! There are also no hard-and-fast rules on this one – use as much of whatever taco ingredients are calling to you!

Ingredients

  • El Capitán ‘Chorizo’ Crumbles
  • Fresh, refrigerated salsa (We used Willy’s Fresh Salsa) 
  • Vegan sour cream (We used Tofutti) 
  • Black Beans 
  • Pico de Gallo 
  • Vegan cheese shreds (cheddar or fiesta/Mexican blend) 
  • Butter or Romaine lettuce, shredded

The How-To

  1. Fry El Capitán in a pan, according to package instructions.
  2. Build your taco salad in a mason jar in the following order (or in a bowl in the reverse order!):
    • Salsa
    • Vegan sour cream
    • Black beans
    • Chorizo
    • Pico de Gallo
    • Vegan cheese shreds
    • Lettuce
